HVISK X JULIE EBENS
HVISK ATELIER is a place to be creative - and to get inspired. We at HVISK meet a lot of artists on social media and in our ATELIER we ask them to interpret our collections and express them through their art.
For our next ATELIER collaboration we teamed up with the Danish and Copenhagen based girl, Julie Eben. We had a chat with her about her ceramics and the collaboration she did with us.
HVISK: WHAT DO YOU DO FOR A LIVING?
JULIE: I am a self-employed ceramicist. My brand is called Julie Ebens and I work from my studio on Refshaleøen in Copenhagen.
HVISK: WHAT IS YOUR CREATIVE MEDIUM?
JULIE: I work with clay and glaze. I use stoneware which is a high fire clay that is ideal for tableware, because when the clay is fired it becomes water resistant and is therefore safe for everyday use.

HVISK: WHAT DOES HVISK MEAN TO YOU?
JULIE: To me HVISK is a modern, fun and bold brand. What appeals to me about HVISK is both the creativity and boldness of the designs, the sustainability aspects of the materials and the transparency when it comes to production and workers rights and safety.
